The first brick hotel in the world dates back to the Qajar period is Malek Al-Tojar Traditional Hotel. The House’s owner was Haj Ali Askar Shirazi, whom Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar had given the title of King of Merchants due to his business success. This aristocratic house started its activity after 1997 under Malek Al-Tojar Hotel and quickly became one of the most popular hotels in Yazd. Malek Al-Tojar Boutique Hotel has 22 rooms with amenities. The walls and ceiling of each room are painted by Shirazi artists and in the style of Shiraz Narenjestan mansion. Malek Al-Tojar Hotel is in the historical sites of Yazd next to the historical bazaar and square of Khan and near the Amir Chakhmaq Complex. The central courtyard and basement used to as traditional restaurants and coffee houses. The courtyard with a painted pool, sleeping spring, wooden columns, beautiful windbreaks, and underground corridors in which connected different parts of this house have all added to the beauty of this Hotel.
